How To See The Sharpening Mask Preview Using Lightroom on Mobile

What is the “Sharpening Mask?” It is when youre applying Sharpening, but you dont want the honing to affect the entire image. If youre sharpening a bridal picture and you dont desire her skin honed, or youre honing a landscape shot and you dont want the clouds sharpening.
When you use the Masking slider (in the Detail panel), it gets rid of the honing from those areas as you drag the slider ot the right. On Lightroom on your desktop or laptop, you see a sneak peek of which locations are being masked by holding the Option key and then dragging the slider. The areas that appear in black are no longer be honed. It makes it really easy to see how far to drag the Masking slider when you can see whats being sharpened (and whats not). Its quite different on mobile (as youll see below).
ACTION ONE: Heres what you do: Once youve used some quantity of sharpening (in the Detail panel), tap and begin dragging the Masking slider (shown circled here in red), to the right (as shown above).
STEP TWO: While your finger is still on the Masking slider, tap anywhere on the screen and youll see the Masking sneak peek take control of the screen (as seen above).
Yeah, its a little different, but it finishes the job.
SUGGESTION: This also works when setting your White and Blacks points (utilizing the Whites and Blacks sliders).
OK, lets rock today, everybody! #GoBucs!
