Kristin Bedford on Her Introduction to Photography

Despite her typically challenging early experience, she said people understood her as a photographer and treated her with respect, regardless of her young years. You can listen to more about her early life by hitting play on the video or audio player.

Kristin Bedford initially managed a cam when she was 5 years old. Given to her by her dad, she began exploring with photography with a point and shoot. She would be dropped off by the school bus while her daddy was still at work.

Cruise Night is Kristin Bedfords best-selling photo book. Its an exploration of the Mexican-American lowrider neighborhood throughout Southern California and Nevada. In the podcast, Bedford shares how the book came to fulfillment, her editing and sequencing procedure, and how her hectic technique to it might have had some publishers worrying. The book has been a great success and took her to Europe and beyond for book singings and talks.
